BeltLine Receives International Award

Last week, the Atlanta BeltLine was awarded the Prix d ‘Excellence Award by the International Real Estate Federation for best environmental rehabilitation project in the world. The award highlighted the organization's work on the Historic Fourth Ward Park, which was once a barren, contaminated site, but today is a vibrant part of the community that craftily incorporates flood protection and stormwater overflow solutions; the 2.25-mile Eastside Trail, a former abandoned heavy freight rail corridor that is now a ribbon of parkland and trails; and the city's first public skatepark and nearby athletic fields, a hot gathering spot for skaters, athletes and families.  Congratulations to Atlanta’s BeltLine!
